A good friend of our is a Film student at UNLV and he is working on a horror film for his final project for class. He asked us to tag along and get some good still photographs of the set and some of the action so he could document it. We also shot a few movie poster type shots. I’m looking forward to seeing the final cut. Keep your eyes open. One day Drew Bennett will be doing something big!
We spent a lot of time this weekend working on the site. Our wedding and people galleries have been updated, so please head over and take a look at them.
Also, the book we shot the cover for has now been published. I read it cover to cover and it’s wonderful writing. Its totally worth picking up a copy, and not just for the cover.
The title is Soldier Hollow and it is written by a long time friend and wonderful guy, Richard Hooton. Check him out online if you get the chance www.richardhooton.com and you can buy the book on Amazon.com .
This past weekend I got to shoot a lovely couple, Morgan and Matt with Jeanna Hayes. I got a few shots of Jeanna in action. She’s great with people and lovely to work with. If you get the chance, go check out her images on her blog. They turned out great.
Heres some of my favorites from the day. Morgan and Matt are so in love and that really shows in their pictures. They were married at the LDS temple on Bonanza and the grounds are gorgeous! It was so windy that day. Poor Morgan spent almost the entire time fighting to keep the veil out of her face. At one point it even got pulled right out of her hair and it went soaring.
I saved my favorite for last. I can’t get over how absolutely gorgeous Morgan looks in this picture. I wish you both all the best and thank you so much for letting me be part of your wedding day.
This past week, Casey and I attended the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) Convention. I learned so much and had the pleasure to meet some wonderful and inspirational people. It really was a blast and I hope I absorb even half of the fantastic information from all the speakers.
We also met up with some friends from the digital wedding forum and did a model bridal shoot. Here’s a few of the images, lots more to come. It was a blast. Thank you so much to Alexandra, Bridget, Princess, and Stephanie for being such wonderful models.
You ladies are absolutely lovely! I hope I get the pleasure of working with you again soon.
We participated in a model shoot at Popular Photography and Sony’s Digital Days workshop. Las Vegas’ local camera shop, Casey’s Cameras, sponsored the event and Casey and I helped out at their booth. As a bonus we got to shoot alongside the class attendee’s during the model shoot. Here’s a taste of some of the wonderful images we got. The models were fantastic and I’ll update soon with their names and some more images. Please be sure to view them at the largest size to see the highest quality!
I have had the pleasure to work with a wonderful writer. I photographed and designed the cover of his soon to be published book as well as his author bio photograph for the back cover. We’re holding off on posting the cover art until the book is actually published, but here are a few of my favorites from the portrait session we did this past weekend.
